Steven Mills, who operated an illegal streaming service broadcasting Premier League matches, has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison following a joint investigation by the Premier League, West Mercia Police, and anti-piracy organisation FACT.
Mills, who sold devices called "Firesticks" on Facebook and claimed to have over 30,000 subscribers, pleaded guilty to multiple fraud offences. He also received a separate sentence for viewing the illegal content himself. The service, which made over £1million in five years, offered customers a custom app and streaming devices to watch various sports and entertainment content illegally.
